Burdens – China

Processed with VSCO with t1 preset

Walking through the streets in a city in China, the world around me is strange. It’s a culture that I have never been exposed to but I want to learn more about the everyday life of an average citizen. The mix between high class stores and silk shops have me confused. It was hard to look over this man passing us. He looked about 80 years old (at least) and lugged this incredibly large load of garbage and crushed cardboard. I captured this moment of a poor man carrying a heavy load through the city with nice shops and through the traffic of flashy cars. Sometimes, we need to take a step back and count our blessings. We are so quick to complain about things that we want or need when we have SO much already!
